Short circuit project and MI stroj installation at 12th Clubture Forum

"MI stroj", interactive installation exploring the questions of machine ecology and understanding of machine as equal member of environment, opened the 12th Clubture Forum that took place in Zagreb from 9th to 11th October 2019.

Clubture Network and Alliance Operation City have prepared the 12th Clubture Forum programme - three days of public programmes dedicated to questions of independent culture. The programme was opened with the presentation of "MI stroj" installation and Short Circuit project and exhibition of Clubture Forum posters.

Short circuit was initially presented at the Šira Gallery in December of 2018 by the participating students from Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, and Department of Art History of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The project is a continuation of KONTEJNER’s educational projects, and offers an alternative, collaborative form of studying art (history), approach in art production and work within the art industry. During the project, students have conceptually developed and produced an interactive art installation that resulted in an exhibition in Šira Gallery in Zagreb.

Clubture Network was founded in 2002 and is focused on program activities, raising public visibility, encouraging organizational development of the scene, and strengthening of its influece on the change of the institutional framework within which it operates. The 12th Clubture Forum was organized with Alliance Operation City and in collaboration with the following organizations: Kurziv - Platform for Matters of Culture, Media and Society (Zagreb), Liburnia FIlm Festival (Rijeka), KONTEJNER | Bureau of Contemporary Art Praxis (Zagreb), Pogon - Zagreb Center for Independent Culture and Youth (Zagreb), Culture Development Association (Zagreb), Autonomous Cultural Center Attack (Zagreb).
