On 21st November 2019 from 19:30 to 22:30 V2_ in Rotterdam will host the Croatian artists Tin Dožić, Silvio Vujičić, Bojan Gagić and Miodrag Gladović, and will be presented by KONTEJNER’s curators Klara Petrović and Luja Šimunović. Here, artists explore the flow of meanings to the concept of a machine, based on ZHANG Ga’s vision of all things being machinic and, therefore, interconnected: Bojan Gagić and Miodrag Gladović inspect the photovoltaic effect generated through solar panels with performance Lighterature Reading, Tin Dožić with installation GoldRush shows his research to the extraction of gold from discarded electronic devices while Silvio Vujičić presents his work Curtain: a performative object actualized in its act of disappearance.

KONTEJNER will co-present Test_Lab: Machinic ecologies in the context of further development of artistic research done in the sixth international triennial Device_art - a festival dealing with technological devices, machines and robotics in contemporary art since 2004. The sixth edition was held in 2018/2019, with the main show “Machines Are Not Alone” devised by renown curator ZHANG Ga (US/CN), its concept rooted in the idea of new machinic ecology, an interconnectivity which determines our very existence.
