	MISSION KONTEJNER \| bureau of contemporary art praxis is a highly professionalized, unhierarchical, independent and non-profit organization which, through curatorial work, production, organization and theoretical contextualization, is oriented towards critical examination of the role and meaning of science, technology and the body in contemporary society. FIELD OF INTEREST KONTEJNER is interested in research-based art practices which represent 'border art' in the sense of medium and content. This includes intermedia and interdisciplinary projects at the junctions of science, technology and art, body art, hybrid and formally innovative usage of the media. In the sense of content, these are projects that refer to relevant phenomenons of contemporary art and culture, dealing with civilizational taboos and ethical systems that legitimize them, with special emphasis on the field of trauma produced by breaking and subverting the norms. Also, it is art hich thematizes the society of the future, the posthuman and its obsolete body, intervened into by cybernetics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, etc. KONTEJNER, founded in 2002, realizes its goals through several projects: Touch Me, Hospital, Extravagant Bodies Festival, Device_art Festival, D.I.Y.ARTLAB GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION - creating a model of interaction beteen art and science - increasing the production of works by local artists in the field of art and technologies, art and science and body art - promoting recent Croatian and international production in the field of art and technologies, art and science and body art in Croatia and internationally REFERENCES From its founding in 2002, KONTEJNER curated and organized over thirty group and individual exhibitions, festivals, lectures and presentation of international and local artists and theoreticians (Marcel.li Antunez Roca, Stahl Stenslie, Paul Granjon, Zoran Todorović, Kira O'Reilly, Giovanna Maria Casetta, Stephen Wilson, Joe Davis, Oreet Asherry, Haruki Nishijima, Tissue Art \u0026 Culture Project, curatorial selection of Break21 festival, Ljubljana; Device_art, Velika Gorica; Touch Me festival, Zagreb...). The organization has realized numerous collaborations with the local independent art scene, as well as local and international institutions and galleries (Multimedia instituta/Zagreb, WHW/Zagreb, Drugo more/Rijeka, Art Workshop Lazareti/Dubrovnik, HDLU/Zagreb, Museum of contemporary art/Zagreb, Galerija Miroslav Kraljević/Zagreb, Galerija Kapelica/Ljubljana, Galerija O3one/Beograd…).
