Robertina Šebjanič is finishing her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design and at Famul Stuart – both Ljubljana, Slovenia based schools. In academic year 2005/2006 she had studied at the Valand School of Fine Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden. In her projects she explores various media such as video and ambiental installations and more broadly conceived cross media / technology within the context of contemporary art practice. Her work is focused on construction of imaginary worlds, searching for the relationship between real and irrational and is checking the borders of the ontext for her ideas and concepts is often realised in collaboration with other authors, and thus through interdisciplinary and informal integration embodies in her work.
She has already presented solo exhibitions as well as taken part in international exhibitions and festivals (Paraflows - Vienna, Haip - Ljubljana, Amber - Istanbul, The Museum of contemporary art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Gallery KiBela_ Kibla_Maribor, SCCA_Ljubljana etc..)
