STAHL STENSLIE develops different interface technologies and tools for the digital culture within the fields of art, media and network-research. He lives and works as media artist, curator, scientist and media researcher in Oslo and Cologne. Stenslie specializes in cog-nition and perception manipulative projects, and conducts PhD studies in New Media. He has been considered one of the Fathers of Cybersex ever since he constructed the first full-body, tele-tactile communication system in 1993 (cyberSM). He has exhibited and lec-tured at major international events (ISEA, DEAF, Ars Electronica, SIGGRAPH), and represented Norway at the 5th biennial in Istanbul, Turkey. Stenslie was the organizer of e-on and arcart 02, he co-or-ganized 6cyberconf (Oslo '97) and co-founded mem_brane network research laboratory in Mediapark, Cologne. He was awarded the Grand Prix of the Norwegian Council for Cultural Affairs. Stenslie was the moderator of the Ars Electronica 2000 Next Sex Symposium.
