Silvio Vujičić was born in 1978 in Zagreb, Croatia. In 1999 he obtained a degree in fashion design from the Faculty of Textile Technology at the University of Zagreb, and in 2005 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Croatia, Italy, France and Slovenia. Although he graduated fashion design, Vujičić is not concerned with fashion, but rather the principles of society's functioning that can be observed in the clothing culture. He's not interested in fashion as trend, but rather as semiotics, a medium. In his performances, installations and ambiances Vujičić deals with topics of production relations within the capitalist system and taboo of the body in the Western civilization, venturing also into the f ields of fetish and queer identity by inverting, perverting the form and function of the material and object, of the relations of meaning.
