performance and installation

Interferences 01 is an installation dealing with interferences in sound reproduction from audio cassettes. After discovering an old Walkman, the artists listened to tapes on it and noticed that, besides music, different sounds and buzzing appear due to its age and wear-out. These interferences became more interesting than the music itself. They tried to make a composition out of the interferences so that the three performers with headphones could not hear each other but could just hear their own interventions on the Walkman, while the audience could hear all three performers simultaneously. During the course of the exhibition, the artists will perform every day and the audience will get the chance to bring their own tapes (or use the artists') and try to create interferences. Each performance will be recorded so that the performers, and not just the audience, can enjoy the end compositions.
