This year, the Exhibition of Sound is growing in both the number of days and organizers! As usual, the exhibition explores the layers of sound as an artistic medium, as well as its relationship with images, space and people themselves while acting as a platform for emerging artists. In collaboration with ZEZ, a selection of sound installations and sculptures, audio and audiovisual artworks and two performances will be presented.
This year's exhibition includes the audio work plutonisms (Illusory Confusions) by Luana Lojić (HR) produced by ZEZ, the multimedia installations The Voice of the Wild Walnut II by Ivana Papić (HR) and Sea of Sorrow by Manja Ristić (HR/Rs) and Aleksandar Lazar (RS), the sound sculpture Sound, space, body by Petra Patafta (HR) and the interactive sound installation IN/VISIBLE by Nika Erjavac (SI).
The first and last day of the exhibition will be marked by performances. In collaboration with the Zagreb Academy of Music, at the opening on November 9, 2023 three academy students from the course Creating Sound and Music by Computer Programming (course holders: Gordan Kreković, Antonio Pošćić) will perform: Mia Đogić, Juraj Rebernjak and Lovro Stipčević. The exhibition will be closed on November 16, 2023 with the performance Digital Doppelgänger by Ivar Roban Križić (HR), co-produced by KONTEJNER.
