There were two art collectives in KONTEJNER’s artistic residencies through which their works have been produced: Croatian art collective Lovers and the artistic trio consisted of artists Tea Stražičić, Marta Stražičić and Nich Zhu. Both art collectives have responded in a certain way to this year’s Extravagant Bodies festival’s topic: Extravagant Love. Their works have been presented to the audience as a part of the festival programme as well. Audio-visual installation by Lovers named I would rather be a cyborg than a goddess has been exhibited as a part of the international exhibition Extravagant Bodies: Extravagant Love, while the audio-visual gaming performance by Stražičić sisters and musician Nick Zhu was included in the performative programme of the festival. After their premieres in 2019 in Zagreb, Hala V of the Technical Museum Nikola Tesla, the guest performance in Amsterdam is currently in preparation, to be part of the upcoming edition of the Sonic Acts Academy, as well as planning of other guest presentations within the Re-Imagine Europe partners’ network.
