Open call for “ASH MA - Art, Science and Health Master of Arts” Online Pilot Course

A new international and transdisciplinary Master of Arts programme on the topic of Art, Science and Health will be showcased, tested and evaluated during a one-week Pilot Course held online in English language for a maximum of 40 participants, from Monday, November 7, to Friday, November 11, 2022, every day from 5.00 p.m. CET. A weekend with KONTEJNER: EMAP networking conference and Zvučni piknik

Annual celebration of our 20-year anniversary continues in June from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th in Zagreb. KONTEJNER hosts the 2022 EMAP networking conference and organizes the Zvučni piknik programme including performances such as the premiere concert of the youngest Croatian experimental band Sešija gathering young teenagers mentored by musicologist Davorka Begović and musicians Nenad Sinkauz, Nenad Kovačić and Pavle Jovanović, who will also be joining them on stage.

Partners of new Master of Art program “Art, Science & Health” (ASH-MA) meet in Corfu, Greece

From June 1st to June 3rd 2022, a meeting of the ASH-MA consortium for the design of a new Art, Science & Health MA program with participants from Croatia, Serbia and Greece will take place in Corfu, Greece. The program was launched in February 2022 by KONTEJNER and three universities: Academy of Fine Arts - University of Zagreb (Zagreb, Croatia), Department of Audio and Visual Arts - Ionian University (Corfu, Greece) and Faculty of Media and Communication - Singidunum University (Belgrade, Serbia).

Every day for the duration of the 59th edition of the Venice Biennale of Art, the lead story from a different, randomly selected global news source provides the data that feeds an artificial intelligence algorithm, which in turn prescribes the time, location, duration, movements, and thoughts of a group of five performers in the city of Venice to constitute Tomo Savić-Gecan’s Untitled (Croatian Pavilion), 2022.

Japanese artist Nelo Akamatsu at Gallery Nova in Zagreb

Spatial sound installation "Chijikinkutsu" by Japanese artist Nelo Akamatsu is the first event of our annual celebration programme consisting of exhibitions, performances, conferences, artwork productions, workshops and publications marking the 20 year anniversary of KONTEJNER. The exhibition opens on Saturday, March 5th at 7 p.m. at Gallery Nova in Zagreb and stays open until March 26th.
