Musica Subsonica 0.1 is an interactive multimedia installation and platform that explores the physical laws of acoustics and spatial dynamics through two distinct sonic approaches. The system operates either as a live, site-specific installation that captures and amplifies the low-frequency standing waves of the immediate surroundings, or as an archival sonic medium playing back the acoustic blueprints of distant architectural spaces that endured natural disasters, passage of time, or war. Through a custom light controller, the audience actively interacts with sub-audible frequencies, physically and optically modulating the waves in real-time. In doing so, the installation becomes a collaborative, multimedia bridge between immediate space, historical memory, and human intervention. The project is deeply rooted in the artist’s memory of the 2020 Zagreb earthquake—a 14 Hz seismic event that prompted the development of this project.
