The video installation We Refugees has as its base the text of the same name by Hannah Arendt of 1943 dedicated to the persecuted and destroyed European Jews. Re-reading this important text today, when the greatest refugee crisis in Europe since the end of World War II is in full swing, the work deals with the issues of war, intolerance, refugees, responsibility and community.

Ana Adamović (RS)

Ana Adamović deals with the themes of identity and memory, both personal and collective, through long-term photographic and video projects. Since 1999 her work has been shown at many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, including in the Museum of Yugoslav History, Belgrade; the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade; the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rijeka; Museum of Photography, Braunschweig; Museum of Photography, Thessaloniki; Ossage Art Foundation, Hong Kong. She obtained a degree in world literature from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and studied photography at the Art Institute in Boston. Currently she is a doctoral student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She lives and works in Belgrade.
