Total art platform, title for a series of multiple day art events integrating workshop, creative-experimental laboratory, discussion and public presentation (performance, concert, exhibition) models. The gist of the project is socialization, meaning a free exchange and introduction via the artistic expression – and not the kind frozen in a static exhibition form, but the live, dynamic, moved by situations, processes and (un)expected changes. The goal is to realize artistic self-production through close collaboration and participation, as well as allowing for the informal exchange of ideas and experiences then and there. The choice of sound/noise as the subject of the Zagreb gathering ensures the sufficiently open, communicative approach which will develop around the idea of the prototype, that is, the exposure of the process of crafting, tweaking, reworking of systems or sound-light mechanisms. This is why the framework of a fixed programme in the classical sense is absent: little is predetermined, and events demand improvisation and immediate adaptation – they demand an arrangement which can be interpreted as the basic feature of the human intellect. Intelligent behaviour/activity is the basic idea of the Total art platform - and this considers only what is aimed at positive social action and reaction.
