Fiction and loss (2011), an interactive audio-visual installation; about distorted perception, subtle layers of life which we often fail to notice, about the presence of people at a particular space at different times, deconstruction and fear, about feelings and beliefs.
The installation is set in a narrow, long and dark hallway. The audio-visual material is projected along the entire space, but since it is hidden, it is possible to experience (hear and see) it only by interacting with it – by moving through the dark hallway it is when the part closest to the visitor is revealed.
The visual material consists of a black and white video, visible only through an irregularly circle shaped opening which follows the visitor with minimum delay and which may, in a particular moment, unexpectedly shift to the other end of the screen.
The piece is intended for one visitor at a time in order to allow for a level of intimacy with the piece.
