I was born many years back during the past millennium, in 1957, in a small city under Mt. Medvednica which in the meantime has grown into a metropolis. At my sixth birthday I have been given my first model train, which I have taken apart in order 'to see how it works'. This event proved to be crucial. Afterwards I have taken apart a huge pile of toys and some more expensive stuff, which I further used to put together my 'inventions'. And have done so ever since to the present days (except that today I rarely dismantle something that still functions!).
These ideas together with my affirmation that "nothing except for teleportation is not unfeasible and that it is just a question of how much money one is ready to invest into realization", are the ones that brought me into colaborating with numerous artists and institutions in order to solve the apparently unsolvable problems. Besides 'solving' a few big ones and few smaller exhibitions in Zagreb and abroad (Zdravo budi!, Here Tomorrow, Sao Paolo Biennial, Venice Biennial, architecture Biennial in Venice...) I have been a sound engineer in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall for many years and have designed projects of multimedia spaces. Finaly, I've ended up at the Zagreb Fine Arts Academy, Department of Animated Film and New Media.
In my free time I experiment with video (for which sometimes I even get awarded at the festivals). My last experiment was an interactive DVD which will be published as an official textbook this autumn. Of course, I have continued to play with models trains! As a rule I don't dismantle them, but rather build the new ones.
