Anthea Caddy’s work interrogates spatial energy and its physical propagation, and subsequent projection within materials. Her investigations result in installation and performance works within unusual environments that utilise specialised loudspeaker and amplification media to expand and reveal spatial phenomena within the environments we inhabit. She has performed and exhibited in Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Europe, notably at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, Zagreb; Liquid Architecture annual festival of sound art, Australia; Diapason Gallery, New York; Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig; Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Observatori Festival, Valencia; ISSUE Project Room, New York; Goethe Institut, Boston; Project Space gallery, Melbourne; Wroclaw Museum of Contemporary Art, Poland; Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt; Borealis, Norway; Wien Modern; Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; MaerzMusik; and Sonic Acts Festival, Amsterdam. Alongside her solo work, Caddy has collaborated and performed with many artists, most notably with the electro-acoustic pioneering composer David Behrman.
