After studying at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart, he intensively studied electronic sound and rhythm generation in the broad field spanning between free improvisation, jazz and contemporary music. Leading the way in the late 1990s was his work with the musicians of the Nu Jazz Formation "Schnute". In 2002 he received a scholarship from the Arts Foundation of Baden-Württemberg. Gradually, the cooperation with advanced visual artists became the centre of his work. Performing Hammerhaus, a duet with the light artist Laurenz Theinert, he participated in numerous festivals across Europe, Asia and Australia.
