Haruki Nishijima was born in 1971. In 1998. he recieved his Master of Fine Arts, at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Two years later he completed studies at IAMAS (International Aca-demy of Media Arts and Science). He took part in numerous exhi-bitions in Japan, the Netherlands, Brasil, Canada, Australia and Slo-venia. He recieved the Ataka Foundation award in 1993, the spanish Vida Life award in 2001, and the canadian Images festival award in 2002. He was nominated for Golden Nica at the Ars Electronica 2001.
