Kurdish-Canadian pianist, composer and sound artist based in Vienna. Her work is characterized by experimental, textural and narrative approaches in which she explores the boundaries of instrumental performance and the perception of sound. Inspired by her own Kurdish heritage, her performances combine improvisation, prepared instruments, keyboards, tapes and various sound objects.
