Noura Tafeche is a visual artist and researcher whose work follows images across military communication, kawaii culture, memes, anime fandoms, e-girls, weapons culture and online communities. Her ongoing Kawayoku research examines the intimacy between cuteness and violence and the ways digital militarism adopts the affective and visual languages of online platforms. She also researches synthetic imagery and contemporary institutional neo-propaganda strategies.
