Antonija Šakić (CRO, 1986) is vice president of UR Institute & expert for biotechnology. While studying biotechnology at PBF, Zagreb she worked in Pliva d.o.o, TAPI Research & Development Laboratory, working with ICP spectrometry. While doing her MSc in medical & pharmaceutical biotechnology, she worked in a project concerning recombinant protein production conducted by gene delivery in mammalian cells, using the transposon systems in the laboratory of cellular biotechnology at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). She is one of cofounders of the UR Institute, where she works as an expert consultant on numerous science & education projects in different areas of natural sciences.
